I like the story concept of combining music and social anxiety, but in practice this story suffers from the common music manga problem, namely that depicting music in images works very poorly. In fact, Bocchi features scenes where we're supposed to be impressed by the band music, except that those pages are sometimes completely silent (i.e. no dialogue, lyrics, or sfx), so the parts that should be loudest are actually quietest. I imagine the anime might work better.
There's also another problem, namely that this is a moe (?) manga or something where all characters are girls, even the audience. And the mangaka just isn't skilled enough to differentiate all these characters, so they blend together. It's not like one could distinguish them by their silhouettes, either. I imagine that this problem would've been less severe if the spectrum of characters hadn't been so artificially constrained.
