    i criticized this manga for many things before but just to reiterate how stupid story actually is: they spent days(weeks possibly) working the tribe around the clock to make 2 short swords 1 axe and 1 spearhead. those people are very proficent in spear use while taiga is an avarage at best sword fighter. they should have just made wicker shields and taught the figthers to walk in formation, it would take 3 days. even a hapzardly put together spear and shield formation is effective against pretty much everything(and was done throughout history when armies conscripted peasants). we couldnt find a better way to fight than spear+shield from their invention until gunpowder was invented. even without iron, by just adding basic wicker shields would turn the fight into a one-sided massacre.
