Knowing the story and being able to tell it aren't the same thing though.
Not every writer has the whole story planned out from the beginning. The confidence in your statement makes you the delusional one here.
Reread this out of nostalgia and can still wholeheartedly say that it is still as good as I remember.
It offers an engaging plot, likable characters (both on the protagonist's as well as the antagonist's side), good tragedy elements and a good amount of actually funny humor. The pacing can feel a bit weird by today's standards but that only because manga back then was drawn to actually tell a story rather than run forever until it gets axed. My only regret is that I got reminded of how much I actually looked forward to a continuation before the mangaka got sick and put the series on indefinite hiatus. I miss this series a lot.
