MT's novel is better than the manga. It's one of my favorites. Everyone who reads the LN says to skip the manga cause it's hot garbage compared to the original writing.

The manga is following quite close to what happen in the novel, so it's going to be hard for that to happen

it might be pretty boring bc no one has borrowed power anymore so it would just be taejin fucking on every body in the tournament

This is really good. It's nice to isekai the protag to a place that isn't (not) Japan, china, or medieval Europe, and is instead similar to Arabia. It feels like a throw back to a lesser Magi starting in an optimized Arabia and an above average bit of world building that lays the mediocre foundation for some pretty good politics with the protag filling a very interesting role that feels rather fresh and very realistic. Zenjirou feels like a real salary man and human that does the best that he can in this new life that he is given a choice to except which makes everything unique that come after feel so much better especially the results of being resummoned after a month of his own choice. Above all it is the fact that I almost all of us to relate to him and understand what he is doing while giving him the circumstances to shine as just a upstanding, average human being with advantageous circumstances the don't feel like an ass pull. overall it is easy to really enjoy it.
