I really wanted to like this, but after chapter ~30 or so the dimwitted protagonist started to wear on me. The final straw was when she started trying to "seduce" her ex for revenge....but seemed to know literally nothing about him.
Look. The first act put a lot of effort into building up the protagonist's heartbreak, so that we would root for her to find happiness with the ML. But when we finally meet her ex, there is zero sense that they even know each other let alone were ever in love.
I don't care how dimwitted you are, if you love someone, you ought to know a thing or two about their likes and dislikes. So what's with all of this talk of "how does I seduce?" when gurl, you were supposedly in love before, idk try wash-rinse-repeat???
It's a comedy not a drama, I get it, but it stopped being funny the more it leaned on improbable jokes and gags and the protagonist became the sole butt of all jokes. I stopped laughing either with or at her, and lost interest in trying to struggle through the inanity in order to complete the plot.
If this was a movie, the FL would be semi-hot standup artist, raunchy but not racy. This is the vibe. The FL has a tragic past, but no one including the FL take it very seriously, she is too positive and random for that.
The characters aren't likable enough and the humor is not frequent enough for me to rate this very high, but I did laugh out loud a few times. The FL really does some unexpected things and sometimes they work and it kind of make sense it works so it is extra hilarious. Other times, nothing interesting happens and you get bored.
I kinda dislike the ML since he is both whipped and insincere in his love, which is the worst combo. I get this is because he "has been hurt before", but it is still bad behavior and I don't buy him being traumatized. The amount of women he hurt is probably ten if not a hundred times that.
In the first place, one can't really imagine a conventional romance of one man and one woman in the emperor's harem, at least in these kinds of stories where everyone poison each other and so on, so I don't see where this is going to go that isn't either very dumb or sad or having the ML replaced, which I'm for actually. The second ML is not as bad as he looks, but he is also square and boring. I would have liked it she could find a Luke Danes somewhere, it is what she needs.

Perfect balance between being overflowed with comedy and still not ruining good slow romance of leads. And art is amazing.
Rare manhwa in which the male lead and the female lead are on equal footing (somewhat). You can tell that the ML genuinely likes FL for her personality and vice versa. The only issue is that they are both dramatic/complete dunces. I mean that in the most endearing way possible. They aren't frustrating, just idiots xD
