"What's Michael?" follows the adventures of a ginger tabby named Michael. The stories frequently change settings: in one tale, Michael might be owned by a young Japanese couple; in another, he could be with an older couple who have children; and in yet another, Michael might belong to a yakuza member. There are even episodes where groups of cats are depicted wearing business suits or playing baseball in team uniforms. (Source: The One Day Wonder Blog) "What's Michael?" was partially published in English by Dark Horse from April 1, 1997, to May 10, 2006. It was also a regular feature in Dark Horse's manga anthology Super Manga Blast, running from March 29, 2000 (issue #1) to February 1, 2006 (issue #59, the final issue). Additionally, it appeared sporadically in the educational publication Mangajin, from June 1990 (issue #1) to September 1997 (issue #68).
