When Shinichirou's beloved dog, Flappy, starts misbehaving and ignoring commands, his trusted vet gives him an unusual referral. The vet sends Shinichirou to his long-time friend, Narusawa, a college professor who supposedly can communicate with animals. Initially, Narusawa denies having this special ability. However, a snarky, talking black cat exposes Narusawa's secret and hints that Shinichirou might possess this gift too. Intrigued, Shinichirou becomes determined to become Narusawa's "pupil."
Will Narusawa agree to teach Shinichirou? And if he does, will Shinichirou end up regretting it?
