The only thing I could desire more from this brilliant work is for an anime adaptation to accompany it, filled with the same fresh insights, comedy, and lack of clichés that made me enjoy this piece so much.
Yaoi often ends up fitting into a small box after a while, filled with whimpering ukes and dominating semes, rape-turned-sex scenarios, shota obsessions, and general annoyances that make each manga feel like a repeat of the last.
This was refreshingly different. There was nothing clichéd about it; it was well-plotted, very surprising, heartfelt, and amazing. The characters, especially Haru, were outstanding. I only wished it was longer to perhaps add more depth. Don't be deterred by the idea or the summary. If you enjoy yaoi and are looking for something unique, read it—you won't regret it.
