when did it pull a bleach and one of the main points of dragon ball is the ludicrous power escalation, that's like criticizing death note for having over contrived schemes and complex execution, it's what you come to it for. additionally, the original has great plot since at the beginning they show her mother as a massive destructive power that is close to the power of the demon lord (and for those who have read it you understand where the demon lord falls in the concept of hereditary power scaling where children can grow as powerful as those related). Not to mention that each of the god tier powers are earned, reasonable, and already in a world where the rules are made by that god, and since we see the struggle, steps taken to achieve the power, and hereditary capacity it is completely reasonable.

As a concept it sounds quite cool. Suddenly a flying castle with a golem army appears in the sky and the world has to react. The execution however... well, it fucking sucks. We go around gathering harem members for toilet-san basically. Just your typical: "oh this guy has shown me a modicum of kindness and basic human decency.... I want to be his slave!". It's disappointing to say the least. Of course, the antagonists are clear villains, invading peaceful countries and harassing innocent beauties. You know, part of the course. There is nothing here that is even remotely interesting. The protagonist is just a walking plot device with no personality. The main "love interest" is your typical shy, kind, big-breasted princess that has no will or goals of her own. The villains somehow fail to even be 2 dimensional. The world is copy pasted fantasy bullshit.
