Considering how this manga's author used to be an assistant to Gintama's author, I wouldn't be surprised.

I remember reading this... I must say the art got way better.

The MC is pretty hillarious with his one liner chuni. If I remember right, on the novel, hes actually as strong as the king right hand man, but hes so lazy that his peer assign him guarding the outer chamber so they can rid of him.
