I finished the series today and I can't help but express my disappointment that the ending makes the whole series worthless.
The last 2 arcs became pointless as everything leading up to the ending was completely disregarded. If I had known years in advance where it was going and how many things they'd fail to deliver on, how many characters they'd throw away, I wouldn't continue, I wouldn't have kept up with it.
Just watch the anime, or read up to where the anime concludes for the best possible ending.
