The beginning chapters are all normal (In comparison to solo leveling and Elceed),It takes a bit to get good maybe around chapter 10 or so, but for it's definitely worth it .
Heeeeey this ain't half bad. I actually really like the skeleton, ironically the only one of the main cast with a functioning brain. It's pretty fun watching the difference between the humans who try to plot and scheme and figure their way out of situations, and the Devourer who doesn't think at all because he's too strong and old to expend the effort firing his neurons. It is also pretty funny how the first main arc has no real threats but the Devourer's absolute unwillingness to think things through and the homunculus' total naivety.
I will never not find it weird that Japanese people use last names for people. Like what’s the point of a first name if only your family is gonna use it
