In a world where humans and androids co-exist, the human population is rapidly declining. As part of a strategy to help preserve humanity, High School student Kotaro Shiga is placed into suspended animation. Upon awakening a century later, he discovers a drastically altered world dominated by androids, with humans becoming exceedingly rare. The androids, whose memories only stretch back 22 years, have rewritten history and now believe that they created humans. With the assistance of an exiled human prince and an android troubled by his limited memory, Kotaro aims to awaken his fellow "sleepers" and restore the true history of the world.
