Supika attends a school that specializes in the magics of astrology and astronomy. Astrologers such as Supika can utilize three types of magic items: the sun, moon, or star. Supika wields the star Spica, the brightest star in Virgo, which is the most potent item she can handle at her current level. However, within the school, women are relegated to third-class status and are not permitted to advance to the higher levels accessible to boys. Naturally, Supika disagrees with this outdated rule and strives to grow more powerful to achieve first-class status.
