From the perspective of the chapters we have up to this date yea lemon n mc arent gna be the best pairing but i think once the story unfolds some more and, most importantly, we see why lemon did the fuck up in the first place itd make more sense for them to end up tgt again (if they do). Also its not like she gets away without repurcussions im pretty sure what we're looking at rn are the repurcussions (also she didnt ACTUALLY cheat on mc so i wouldnt think she fucked up that badly).

It's called personality, the reason MC is acting the way he is isn't just for plot convenience and he's going to be the hero that saves the kids when they're in danger due to foster parents. If you had never experienced or seen how you should treat/care for a child, you wouldn't just wholeheartedly deny someone else's qualification of caring for the child.
