Honestly speaking, this title, for some reason, has been going downhill lately because the choice of story direction. It's like reading a second Aire (rushed development and irrational/excessive plots), or Mage Again (slow burning and kinda lost its initial traction). I would rather the author sticking with the duo of MC and kid Seori than doing this kind of ambiguous time skip and introducing a bunch of out-of-nowhere and non-impactful characters.
Another retired relic of the past who got whooped by MC (though that could be the synopsis for every old person here), he made a scene when he saw MC with white water sword because he thought MC stole it and then they fought. He lost and accepted MC was a good guy.
