What I initially thought would be an entertaining comic to pass the time turned out to be a huge letdown. A few chapters in, what started as a decent read quickly devolved into one of the most boring and uninspiring comics I've ever come across. It was a real snoozefest, sadly not living up to my expectations at all. :T
The only redeeming quality I found was the art style, which did look stylish and pretty on the surface. However, as I delved deeper into the manga, the backgrounds became increasingly forgettable and almost mist-like. They were hard to remember and felt empty most of the time, with static figures growing tiresome after a while.
The characters and the story went hand in hand in their lack of appeal. Halfway through, I found myself not caring much about what was happening as the plot kept getting sidetracked, stripping away any enjoyment I had initially felt. The characters started off decent but soon became as thin as tracing paper, losing any depth they might have had.
Enjoyment... Eeh... I ended up dozing off more than I actually read.
Overall, it's just a boring manga. There were elements that could have been enjoyable if the story had been better executed, but instead, it turned into something resembling a Twilight knockoff with its emotionless and blank characters. The pacing was painfully slow.
Would I recommend it? No way. There are far better and more current manga out there that you can discuss with friends.
