Cat Eyed Boy is a tale of a half-human, half-monster child who, due to his mostly human appearance, is barred from the demon world. He resides in the hidden corners of the human world, shunned by both humans and demons. His presence seems to bring about calamitous events wherever he goes, as interactions between humans and demons turn disastrous. In narratives filled with revenge and retribution, accompanied by unsettling imagery, Cat Eyed Boy plays the role of a trickster. He saves the innocent and ensures that the wicked face the punishment destined for them. Cat Eyed Boy, originally titled Nekome Kozou, was published in English by VIZ Media under the VIZ Signature imprint in two volumes on June 17, 2008. A live-action film adaptation of this series premiered in Japan on June 10, 2006.
