Public execution is worse since he have completely loyal subjects serving under him and also he was a good and righteous man before he conspired to rebel against souma, so having a well-reputation noble be publicly executed will be bad... and also because souma felt indebted to him cause he basically made the kingdom a more better place by giving souma a reason to execute all the corrupt nobles... he'll be heartless to have a kind and righteous man who saved the kingdom to be publicly executed as a criminal where all people could see...

the concept was very good and the best bits were chapters 40-130 i think it fell off a little towards the end but it retained what it set out to do so i am giving it 8/10.
