Tadayasu Sawaki possesses a unique gift: he can visualize various microbes, ranging from those that ferment sake to common bathroom mold. Notably, these microbes do not appear as they would under a microscope but are instead depicted as adorable chibi characters. Upon entering an agricultural university, a professor learns of his ability, leading Tadayasu to meet new people who help him explore more about his powers and personal growth. "Moyashimon" was published in English as "Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture" by Del Rey Books. They released the first two volumes between November 24, 2009, and June 22, 2010, before ceasing operations.
