Popular Reviews
First of all, this graphic novel was released after the Gundam Seed Destiny anime, so naturally, the story mirrors it precisely. This similarity might explain why it hasn't garnered much popularity. For an adaptation of a relatively lengthy anime, these four volumes feel rather hurried.
As a massive fan of Gundam Seed, it's challenging for me to remain objective about its quality, which is partly why I purchased it in the first place. If you genuinely love something, buying it seems like the right move. Additionally, I couldn’t find any online sources for it at first glance.
Story: 9
Since it adheres strictly to the anime's storyline, it can't be worse off. However, the pacing feels rushed, and my enjoyment likely stems from knowing what happens in the omitted parts. Shin’s narrative, for instance, isn't as emphasized. On the flip side, less focus on personal details could appeal to those more interested in action sequences. Gundams appear every two to three pages, at least.
Art: 9
I can't pinpoint any flaws in the art. It's clear, neat, and detailed without causing confusion. Every panel, especially during fight scenes which often cause issues, is crystal clear. The dynamic execution of battle scenes is excellent. My only gripe is that the characters don't resemble their anime counterparts.
Character: 7
I adored the anime because I connected with the characters. In the manga, due to its rushed nature, character depth is lacking. I'm particularly displeased with how Shin is portrayed more as a 'crazy dumb tard' than a vengeful, rebellious figure. He was appealing in the anime; here, not so much.
Enjoyment: 10 - outstanding
Being a Seed fan, relishing the tense moments at my own pace feels amazing. As someone who watches slowly, I appreciate the fight scenes here, finding them darker than the anime where I'd often lose focus. A soundtrack for the pages would be a dream come true.
Overall: 8 - Despite offering nothing new and feeling rushed, it still signifies 'very good,' right?
And what i don't understand it why they keep reading or watching it if they don't like it hahahahahahaha.
I'm a fan of manga in general, if I don't like it, I'll just stop reading it and drop it.
