High school girl Ai experienced a peculiar dream about her childhood. In this dream, she was saved by a young boy who vowed to safeguard her. The dream felt like a piece of forgotten memory, yet Ai could not recall any part of her past related to it. Matters became even more mysterious when she noticed a classmate whom she did not recognize at all. It appeared that everyone in the class knew Akizuki Tooru except for her.
Ai sensed something unusual about Tohru and decided to investigate him. She discovered that the school had no records of his existence. After confronting him, Tohru admitted that he is an ESPer who had infiltrated the school to look into a series of drug-overdose deaths occurring there.
