The Devil's Castle is a dark and somber place, until the good-hearted apprentice Asarella stumbles into this abode on a goodwill mission, against the wishes of her master, the Arch-Mage Eliwho. Things quickly take a turn for the worse, and soon Asarella finds herself bound in a blood pact with The Devil. Unbeknownst to her, the mage harbors a secret love for her, which only complicates her training to prepare for the impending apocalyptic battle. This sets up one of the most unusual love triangles in any time or place. The first volume of "Masca: The Tale of the Great Mage of Hessed" was published in English as "Masca" by Central Park Media on February 9, 2005.
