Private detective Reiji Akiba has an intriguing theory about the awkward moments and strange coincidences that occur in life. He believes these incidents are actually encounters with the dead, their way of sending messages. However, you might not want to receive such peculiar communications from beyond—unless you can perceive the ghostly content like Akiba can, and unless you possess a weapon capable of destroying the undead, like Akiba's aptly named Kagutsuchi—the tool bridging the divine and earthly realms, designed to bury the evil dead. (Source: Dark Horse Comics) Mail was first serialized in Ace Next but transferred to Shounen Ace when the original magazine ceased publication. The series was published in English by Dark Horse from December 6, 2006, to March 14, 2007. Later, the same company released the series digitally from January 25, 2012, to April 4, 2012.
