Latest chapter proves one of the fundamentals of being a couple ... COMPROMISE!
He wants to make Paul happy but can't give her everything she wants so he tries his best to achieve close enough to that so she can still be happy with him.
She knows that accepting him means giving up something and wants him to give up something equally but since that isn't possible she is willing to "bend a knee" to certain things in order to make him happy whilst still being satisfied by being with him.

Every chapter gives me a great laugh.
