The manga is composed of a series of standalone stories. These stories focus on the adventures of the Crossbone Vanguard during and three years following the original series' conclusion. There is one exception; the first story is set during the One Year War and explores the youth of Crossbone pilot Umon Samon. The series also showcases the "return" of Grey Stork, the aged future version of Judau Ashta, who was previously featured in Hasegawa's V Gundam Sidestory manga.
