In plain words, this manga is incredibly funny. It's a hilariously entertaining read. Even in the sequel "Yawara!" Jigoro remains a witty oddball whose humor, though peculiar, is thoroughly enjoyable. I can recall numerous instances where this manga had me bursting into laughter. If you're still on the fence about it, just give it a try! Following the lengthy, exhausting, and emotional journey of "Yawara," Jigoro offers a light-hearted and refreshing break. I adore this manga for its brevity and its blend of humorous yet touching scenes.
The only downside for me was the lack of closure, but considering it's a prequel, that's somewhat expected. Still, it doesn't detract from how much I enjoyed it.
