Kind of like paralel world theory where there's a path where you went right, but there's a world for if you took the left path but you're living the rightward path never to know what the leftward path looks like. Probably after his "death" in his original world the story stopped there. But he got reincarnated into the other path where his main body didn't die, and for whatever reason his original is doing what he's doing now.

Sayuri is a beautiful gyaru whatever how she dress or does her hairs... But i still think her first original style suits her more, watching this panel of memories.

Well, i hope author grow some balls and don't follow the classical obvious expected ending, and let Sayuri win. But based on all those flashbacks with her brother out of nowhere, i guess it will be again a new misdirection.
