I actually kinda like it. It has two separate lines of story. You got the typical super strong fast learner who becomes an adventurer. Then at the same time, he's a fucking alien from a galaxy spanning branch of humanity that's locked in a millennium long war against space bugs. He's simultaneously a nobody who became a captain, and standard solider that's overpowered while on that planet. It's interesting. I reminds me of those episodes of Teen Titans where Beast Boy found by a probe from his old team and flips a switch and becomes a super serious character. Not the same, but same vibes.

This manga is like cheap rice crackers. Mostly bland with a hint of savouriness, and insanely easy to eat. You can just devour an entire 26 chapters without feeling any bit fatigued
