don't care if it's a standalone spinoff, it needs to be animated
I will give that Rudo has good reasons to have such anger inside, but seeing him grow out of letting it control him, and recovering his consideration for others at the same time he develops more nuance to it, really made him likable.
Now we have a boy, that still has pain and unresolved questions, but he is walking a path of maturity, understanding that he will make mistakes... but he will own up to them.
It's a reference to "gamebooks", or "choose-your-adventure". They were popular in the nineties and I'm old enough. They were basically short novels divided into hundreds of "paragraphs" which were numbered. They were almost always written in 2nd person, and at the end of each paragraph you had alternatives such as "do you want to enter the cave? Go to x. Do you want to cross the river? Go to y." like single player rpgs, with multiple versions of the story. You rolled dice to fight and so on. In a few series, paragraph 14 was the one where you'd end up in case of death, usually in those with a comedy side, you'd meet Merlin scolding you for getting killed or something like that, before telling you instructions such as "you start from ch.1, you lose all equipment, enemies are back alive". (I wrote the same a while ago on mangalife, now I'm here because it's down)
