Hanaotoko

Shigeo is a highly strung elementary school student living with his mother. His sole focus is on advancing in life through academic excellence. He has a strong dislike for his father, Hanao, who is separated from them. Hanao is an idealistic free spirit, youthful at heart, and deeply infatuated with the sport of baseball. Shigeo's mother insists that Shigeo spend time visiting his father, and this marks the beginning of Shigeo's discovery that there's more to life than just doing well in school, as demonstrated by his very childlike father.
