what? would you question how magic works next? i can come up with 1000+ pages of essay explaining everything, but it would be pointless here since i'm just making all of it up... just like how every other fantasy authors made up their world's laws and physics

bad writing is when author wrote up and explain their law but the characters are not adhering to it (ie. author explain that MC can not interact with other people when time is stopped, but later the MC killed other people when time is stopped, which is contradictory)
this manga have yet to do it, so it's pointless to question it

tl;dr : what the author had in mind is different from your idea of time stopping, so just enjoy it as it is or go write one yourself using the ideas you came up with

it's tTsutomu Nehei's style, you'd understand if you read any of his previous works, some details stays mysteries for the readers to think about, other details you figure out by taking hints, but the majority gets revealed along the way.

This world for now is a mysterious world, and he instantly puts you in the picture.

I really hope it'll be an other masterpiece.

Me: Some rant by an old guy who catched up recently. The "Weak hero" is Eugene. He can't put up a fight to save his life but he's the one who started the downfall of the Union, he's the kind of hero who doesn't even know he's one, like Samvise Gamgee. And the "Mokha Duo" remind me of Styx and Stone, two villain henchmen from decades ago in Spider Man comics. One is a weird looking mentally unstable sadist, the other is a serious and disciplined fighter who actually acts protective towards his crazy pal.

The Middle of them is always the strongest points but the ending is where they fall flat on their ass. Too many isekai diverge away from the core aspects that make them enjoyable to read when you want to just turn your brain off and relax.
