Aight let me explain it to some of you like your 5 since apparently paint chips with milk was what your mother's made you for breakfast. The pickup paisen has actually been a supporter of yamada and ichikawa after a certain point when he realized they both had a thing for each other. He still just acted out the the same role to try and get the whole process sped up. /rant
