For a cancelled series, that was an alright ending. One of the more mediocre manga that I really liked.

Given the front theory about her (especially after the little kid debuted looking just like she did), look at how the enemy acts. "Go home to master", and "kill more to earn his favor". But shifted to Bel as the 'Master', and with things getting more difficult, she falls back to what he taught her to do more, and gets more upset when she's failing to uphold it.

But that's just me speculating. But given that, a daddy flashback is just what she needs to steel herself to take action.
