Baki: New Grappler Baki

Five formidable death row inmates escape from their prisons across America, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Russia. Each convict converges on Tokyo with a singular goal: to be defeated by the world's strongest fighters. Seventeen-year-old Baki Hanma, a champion fighter, continues to push his body to its limits in preparation for a future battle against his father, Yuujirou Hanma, a monstrous figure. Despite finding high school studies mundane, Baki finds solace and strength in his growing relationship with Kozue Matsumoto. However, the arrival of the escaped convicts disrupts the calm of his life as each criminal showcases lethal power across Tokyo. To counter this escalating threat, Baki unites with Kaoru Hanayama, a yakuza member; Retsu Kaiou, a rival; Doppo Orochi, his mentor; and Gouki Shibukawa, an elderly jujitsu master. Together, they commit to seeking out and defeating the criminals. Baki, however, bears the additional responsibility of protecting Kozue from these new adversaries while striving to prove himself worthy under his father’s watchful eye. "Baki: New Grappler Baki" was available digitally in English through Media Do International/Akita Publishing from September 16, 2018, to August 27, 2019.
