During a school cruise trip, a group of friends find themselves transported back to the year 1636. According to historical records, in 1637, a rebellion known as the Shimabara Revolt erupted. This uprising was led by Christian rebels under the charismatic leadership of a young man named Amakusa Shirou. The revolt concluded with the defeat of the rebels and the loss of approximately 3,000 lives. Our heroine, Hayumi Natsuki, is mistaken for Amakusa Shirou by the villagers she encounters, despite the real Amakusa Shirou being male. It turns out that the actual Amakusa Shirou had died the previous year, before he could become recognized or popular as a leader among the people. Soon, Hayumi gains fame as some kind of heaven-sent angel, and people start calling her "Shirou," believing she is the savior prophesied 25 years earlier.
