I don't know, it felt pretty forced to me. It had some setup sure, but I really didn't feel an elopement was called for. The ending to that arc? was even more abrupt than the start.
He was in a wasteland on the brink of starvation, surrenders to a random outpost, somehow makes it to a capitals dungeon, gets a meeting with the king in like an hour (which was retarded of him considering the literal mountain of bodies this guy has left in his wake), 'negotiated' a cease fire with stuff he randomly 'found' by luck, then got back to a random patch of wasteland to find a not staved to death princess just fine and dandy collapsed in the dirt. All in time to get back home for something or rather that starts off the next example of how absolutely god awful he is at picking friends.
Mikane is more emotionally smarter than we give him credit for. He realized Yukko was feeling useless, and he complimented her cooking knowing that it will cheer her up. Not only that, but when he complimented the shrimp and she said it was her mother's doing, he picked another thing just so he can compliment her more directly. Also loved the moment with the little brother, I think he also felt his big brother liking Yukko, so when he heard that he's going to stay back to protect her, he knew he shouldn't stay and become a liability himself. I love this story.
how can I upvote / like 0Gungrave0's comment? I hate kids crying for a chapter that has an essential "yap". Mygod, we're all just reading this on a pirated site, and this Dogma even managed to cry about this.
Can you update all the old chapters with Viz translations from coloredmanga.com? The translation is much better but their site isn't very good, I'd like to read them here.
