houzuki yuuno

A girl who lived with Shinkurō when he was young and also served as his sparring partner. Her gentle demeanor, though occasionally veering into yandere tendencies when other girls approach Shinkurō, belies her formidable fighting skills. Shinkurō acknowledges that she is much stronger than him, despite being only one year older. Yūno is upset that Shinkurō hasn't realized she was his first love. Even now, she harbors feelings for Shinkurō and frequently finds excuses to spend time with him, such as preparing meals for him. However, her advances can be quite intimidating, especially because Shinkurō often has another girl with him, which scares him into just letting her hear what she wants. Yūno resents Shinkurō's decision to move out of the Hōzuki household to live on his own, fearing he will turn into a hooligan. She has made it clear that she wants him back in the Hōzuki household. Yūno has a younger sister named Chizuru, who is five years old and also has a crush on Shinkurō. Although the Hōzuki family are no longer assassins, their grandfather expects Yūno and Chizuru to continue practicing the Hōzuki family martial arts. In the anime, Yūno is much more assertive in her advances towards Shinkurō and does not exhibit the yandere tendencies.
