As a child, she was abandoned by her birth parents and found under a cherry tree. Now acting as the "hikeshiya," she travels around using her Kongoumaru to heal people's sadness. Despite loving her adoptive parents, Yusura is still on a quest to find her birth parents.
She has a hot-headed and tomboyish personality, often dressing like a boy, which leads to a recurring joke where new characters struggle to identify her gender. Later in the story, she falls in love with Samon. She is 16 years old. Her staff is named Kongomaru.
