Yuma is the #40 Claymore from generation 78 and specializes in defense. She constantly feels insecure, believing she is weaker than her fellow warriors.
Even though she was clearly the weakest among the survivors of the Northern Campaign, after a seven-year time skip, her skills have advanced to the point where she can defeat three of the organization's warriors simultaneously. One of these opponents was ranked #14 at the time. Yuma managed to knock them unconscious without causing any injuries, remarking afterward that their swords seemed practically motionless compared to hers.
In later events, driven by necessity, Yuma learns how to heal others' wounds by synchronizing her youki with theirs, similar to the technique used by her companion Cynthia.
