He is Ren's tenacious manager. Initially, he appears serious and entirely focused on work. However, as the story progresses, we discover that he isn't always so stern and serves as a source of comic relief. At their first meeting, he didn't seem particularly fond of Kyouko; nonetheless, as he observes Ren's affection for her, Yashiro starts to show his support. He goes so far as to try to get Ren and Kyouko alone together so Ren can make his move.
Yashiro has an unusual quirk: he must wear latex gloves when handling any electronic devices, including his own cell phone. Direct contact with electronics results in them breaking down within moments. Specifically, he notes that a cell phone will become unusable after about 10 seconds of direct skin contact. On one occasion, Yashiro attempted to coax Ren into revealing a secret by holding Ren's phone, which contains various online dictionaries Ren uses to understand unfamiliar words in scripts, barehanded.
Kyouko hypothesizes that Yashiro naturally emits strong electric waves. He demonstrates extreme dedication as a manager, meticulously planning out almost all of Ren's schedule nearly a year in advance. Kyouko learns this when she briefly took over as Ren's manager during Yashiro's illness. In an extra strip from volume 11, it is revealed that Ren has never been late to a job, despite the throngs of fans eager to mob him, primarily because Yashiro can be quite intimidating when it comes to protecting his charge. A mere cold glance from him can halt even the most enthusiastic fans in their tracks.
