Yukari Takara is Miyuki Takara's mother. She tends to be very well-mannered but can also be somewhat clumsy. Yukari is warm and friendly, once chatting with a telemarketer for over an hour. She has a playful sense of humor. Her hair is short, unlike her daughter, and she doesn't wear eyeglasses. Yukari dislikes doing household chores, which explains why she isn't very adept with household items. For instance, she once mistook a colored candle for a popsicle. People often mistake Yukari for Miyuki's "big sister" instead of her mother due to her youthful and cuddly appearance. Combined with her cheerfully adorable personality and endearing clumsiness, this has led to her being seen as moe, a characteristic not commonly found in anime women in their thirties.
