She operated an underground medical clinic in Munich without a license, serving underprivileged clients and those who couldn't afford traditional healthcare, mainly from the refugee community. This was during her father's absence, who was more experienced. Her family had moved from Vietnam to East Germany in the 1980s.
Dr. Kenzo Tenma met her at her clinic while tracking down and trying to eliminate the malevolent Johan Liebert. He came seeking information about the murder of Blue Sophie. At the time, she was overwhelmed with patients needing urgent medical care. Dr. Tenma, being a medical professional, insisted that these patients should be taken to a proper hospital due to their severe injuries. However, she angrily explained that this wasn't possible for them because of their social status.
Initially, the strong-willed girl refused Dr. Tenma's help but eventually allowed him to assist with several procedures on the desperate patients. Over time, she confided in Dr. Tenma about her situation. When Dr. Tenma had to leave, mentioning he had to end a man's life, she expressed concern for his well-being.
Later, she watched his arrest on television, commenting that he had been an "inspiration" to her and hoping for the best given the circumstances.
