First mentioned in Chapter 25, the "Baby" is a short, elderly man and an infamous Neo-Nazi leader. He idolizes Johan as the ideal Aryan leader who could become the next Hitler and bring Germany to prominence. He works for four individuals who are eager to have Johan as their political leader. To this end, he initially plans to use Nina as bait to manipulate Johan, while also using her as a safeguard against Johan's potential threats to him and his group. However, his plan fails when Johan kills one of the four key members of the organization. The characteristics of the "Baby" are heavily influenced by a character from Twin Peaks known as "The Midget." His first appearance, in Chapter 26, mirrors that of the Twin Peaks character, as he appears to Nina Fortner from behind a red curtain (similar to the Black Lodge's waiting room) while dancing to the song "Be My Baby." In the latter part of the series, the "Baby" becomes depressed and confides in a prostitute. Ultimately, he is killed by this prostitute as part of a scheme orchestrated by Johan.
