Midway through the series, Vanilla becomes an Ogre Princess due to Pierre's trickery, but Chocolat manages to save her. In the final volume of the manga, Vanilla wins the right to be Queen but refuses the crown. However, she eventually accepts it when Chocolat goes missing. In the anime adaptation, Vanilla gives the crown to Chocolat, believing she is more suited to be Queen. In both the anime and manga, Vanilla ends up with Woo.
