Keiichiro's mother was once the champion of Japan. She is wealthy, vain, callous, and vengeful, harboring a deep resentment towards Miyuki for being the daughter of the man she couldn't have. Despite her feelings, she agrees to sponsor and train Miyuki with the ulterior motive of using her to disgrace the rival Ryugasaki family. Miyuki's tarnished reputation begins when Utako teaches her an unsportsmanlike maneuver on the tennis court, insisting that Miyuki use it to humiliate her opponents.
