Chief Uramura serves as the local police chief in Tokyo and is one of the supporting characters in the Rurouni Kenshin series. He is a dedicated individual who takes his role seriously. Despite his commitment, he is not hesitant to seek assistance when faced with challenges beyond the capabilities of the police force. Initially, Uramura regarded the Battosai as a dangerous threat. However, after witnessing the real Battosai, his perception changed significantly. Uramura holds Kenshin and his friends in high regard, trusting their judgment and even seeking their help in situations where he lacks firsthand knowledge.
