Triela has a sharp, sarcastic wit and favors wearing masculine attire. She acts as both a mentor and a mother figure to the other girls at the SWA, maintaining a grounded and realistic perspective on their circumstances.
Her weapons of choice include the SIG-Sauer P230 SL pistol (replaced by a 232-SL after losing her original to Pinocchio) and the M1897 Trench Shotgun equipped with a bayonet. Triela is also proficient with various Heckler & Koch firearms, such as the H&K G3A3 battle rifle, the H&K P7M8 pistol, the H&K UMP submachine gun, and the H&K MP7 PDW.
Before her rescue, Triela was a victim of a child smuggling ring operated by the Mafia in Amsterdam. Like many others, she endured horrific abuse involving drugs, torture, rape, and mutilation for the production of "snuff" films. Europol detectives, including her future handler Hilshire, saved her from this ordeal. During a shootout where Hilshire's partner was mortally wounded, she used her last moments to perform CPR on Triela, enabling Hilshire to save the girl’s life.
In the assault on the nuclear plant, Triela suffers severe injuries but bravely holds off multiple soldiers, allowing Rico and Henrietta to advance further into the facility. Upon learning of Triela's injury, Hilshire rushes to her aid. They are ultimately found dead in each other's arms, presumably overwhelmed by enemy forces. Their bodies are later discovered by Marco.
