Tougo Kazama is a childhood friend of Riku's. He managed to recognize Riku as Suraga and, while being pursued by Takao, he awakened to a Jinki core. He later explained that two months prior, during the NEFT building fire, a bright light (one of the Jinki cores from chapter 15 that Takao lost against Riku) came crashing towards him. The glowing scar he sustained from the incident vanished the following morning. His core bears a scratch that causes him intense pain, and he cannot materialize a blade. This compelled F.L.A.G. to design a customized weapon specifically for his use.
