Toshio Tamura, a former Grand Prix racer, found himself on an island known as Zombie Island. Here, a man referred to as "S." and his troops train hundreds of carefully selected individuals to become zombie hunters. Toshio and the others undergo intense survival training in the island's jungles to enhance their combat and survival skills. Toshio excels, becoming one of the few to successfully complete the rigorous training.
During the training, Toshio loses his left arm and right eye, which are subsequently replaced with cybernetic prosthetics. These enhancements allow him to see infrared and navigate in the dark, as well as provide increased strength in his left arm. After completing his training, Toshio opts not to become a zombie hunter and leaves the island.
At the airport, he reunites with his sister and girlfriend, whom he hadn't seen since his disappearance. One day, upon returning home, Toshio discovers that his sister and girlfriend are missing and that mysterious men have taken over their residence. He tortures one of these men to obtain information about their whereabouts.
Toshio heads to the location he was given, only to find that his sister has been murdered and his girlfriend has turned into a zombie. Forced to kill her to save his own life, Toshio is devastated. In the aftermath, he returns to Zombie Island to begin a new chapter as a zombie hunter.
